On jacquard, the logo is knitted into the stitch: it is part of the scarf. Embroidery is added on top: the threads form a glossy, raised design and the outlines stay very sharp, even on a small logo. The two are often combined, with the name knitted in and the crest embroidered.
The embroidery option costs £1.05 ex VAT per scarf, on top of the price of the scarf. Tick it in the finishing options of the configurator and the price updates instantly.
Embroidery works best with clear shapes and solid areas of colour. Very small text (under about 5 mm high) and fine gradients do not stitch well. Our designer converts your logo into an embroidery file and shows you the result on your free proof, so you can approve the size, the position and the thread colours before production.

For a sharp logo on a knitted scarf, send a vector file (or a PNG at least 1,000 px wide on a transparent background), keep the colour count within what the technique allows and simplify the finest details. The designer fine-tunes everything on your proof.
Wash your football scarf at 30°C on a delicate cycle, or by hand, then dry it flat and keep it out of the tumble dryer. The details depend on whether it is knitted acrylic (jacquard) or woven polyester (woven or satin).
