Block stripes can be read from the other side of the ground and echo the colours of a shirt directly. In the configurator, the stripes pattern places two bands along the full length of the scarf; you then set the colour of the background, the stripes and the text. A thin edge stripe along the borders completes the traditional collegiate look.

Block stripes and bar scarves

Block stripes run in wide, equal bands, the classic look of a football scarf in two or three club colours. Bar scarves use stripes across the width in a fixed sequence, the style worn by schools, colleges and university clubs. Both are knitted the same way; only the layout changes. Which technique for a striped scarf?
