Scarf size
The standard football scarf measures 140 × 18 cm, plus fringes. It is long enough to wear comfortably round the neck and to hold up taut above your head on the terrace. Other sizes are available on request, such as a narrower scarf for juniors or a longer one for a display.
Choosing the technique
There are four techniques, each with its own strengths:

Choosing your colours
A scarf is usually seen from a distance. Contrast matters more than the number of colours:
- Pair a dark shade with a light one (navy and white, black and amber, claret and gold).
- Avoid two similar colours for background and wording (red and orange, navy and black): the wording becomes unreadable a few metres away.
- On classic jacquard, which is limited to three colours, two well-contrasted colours are often enough.
- If you have brand guidelines, send us your Pantone references and we will choose the closest yarns.
Writing the wording
Scarf wording has to be read at a glance. A few rules:
- Short: around 15 characters on classic jacquard, 25 on HD jacquard.
- In capitals: easier to read, and the tradition on terrace scarves.
- One idea per side: club name on one side, a motto or date on the other (on woven and satin).

Preparing your logo
The best file is a vector file (SVG, AI, EPS or vector PDF). Failing that, a PNG with a transparent background at least 1,000 pixels wide will do. On a knitted scarf, remember that the logo is reproduced stitch by stitch: very fine lines and small lettering disappear. Planning budget and timing

Care
- Jacquard: hand wash or machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, dry flat.
- HD woven and satin: wash at 30°C, no tumble dryer, cool iron on the reverse if needed.

Jacquard vs woven
Knitted jacquard is thick, warm and the classic terrace scarf; HD woven is thin, very sharp and can carry a different design on each side. HD jacquard and printed satin sit in between, for detailed crests and photo artwork.
Logo on a knitted scarf
For a sharp logo on a knitted scarf, send a vector file (or a PNG at least 1,000 px wide on a transparent background), keep the colour count within what the technique allows and simplify the finest details. The designer fine-tunes everything on your proof.

Washing your scarf
Wash your football scarf at 30°C on a delicate cycle, or by hand, then dry it flat and keep it out of the tumble dryer. The details depend on whether it is knitted acrylic (jacquard) or woven polyester (woven or satin).
Wedding scarves
